ACS products and services include controls for heating, cooling, indoor air quality, ventilation, humidification, lighting and home automation; advanced software applications for home/building control and optimization; sensors, switches, control systems and instruments for measuring pressure, air flow, temperature and electrical current; security, fire and gas detection; personal protection equipment; access control; products for automatic identification and data collection, installation, maintenance and upgrades of systems that keep buildings safe, comfortable and productive; and automation and control solutions for industrial plants. Specialty Materials develops and manufactures chemicals and materials for applications in the refining, petrochemical, automotive, healthcare, agricultural, packaging, refrigeration, appliance, housing, semiconductor, wax and adhesives segments. Specialty Materials also provides process technology, products and services for the petroleum refining, gas processing technology, petrochemical and other industries. Transportation Systems provides automotive products that improve the performance, efficiency, and appearance of cars, trucks, and other vehicles through state-of-the-art technologies, world class brands and global solutions to customers' needs. Transportation Systems' products include turbochargers and charge-air and thermal systems; car care products including anti-freeze, and cleaners, waxes and additives. Honeywell's raw materials are natural gas, benzene, ethylene, fluorspar and sulfur in its Specialty Materials business; steel, nickel, other metals and ethylene glycol in its Transportation Systems business; and nickel, titanium and other metals in its Aerospace business. The Company faces competition in all product and service areas.
