It also publishes, produces and provides post-sale service for software and hardware for amusement arcade games. In addition, it produces software for pachinko slot machines and LCDs used in pachinko machines, and produce video games and token-operated games installed in amusement arcades and other entertainment venues in Japan as well as gaming machines for casinos in the United States, Australia and other overseas jurisdictions. It aims to create new markets and provide various health-related services through the operation of fitness club facilities and the development and manufacturing of heath-related equipment and supplements. Konami 's Digital Entertainment Segment consists of the five businesses as follows: Computer & Video Games business, it produces, manufactures and sells video game software, purchase and distribute video game software for home use; Amusement business, it produces, manufactures and sells video games for amusement facilities and content for token-operated games; Card Games business, it plans, produces, manufactures and sells card games; Online business, it builds computer systems related to online games, maintain and operate online servers, produce and distribute content for mobile phones, and produce online games; Other business, it plans, produces, manufactures and sells electronic toys, figures and character goods, and plan, produce and sell music and video package products, books and magazines. It is a health and fitness club operator and health-related business enterprise in Japan. Gaming & System Segment is involved in developing content and hardware for gaming machines for casinos outside of Japan. The Company's Computer & Video Games business develops, publishes, distributes and markets software for video game systems and, to a lesser extent, personal computers. Most of its software consists of video games designed for use with video game platforms, including PlayStation 2, PLAYSTATION 3, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox and Xbox 360, and PCs. It publishes more than 100 new titles of video game software each year, almost all of which are designed for use. It is focusing on further enhancing the Konami brand name by aggressively advertising and promoting the products and services. It produces, develops, designs and sells a range of card products and card-related products. Konami's Amusement business produces and sells video game machines and token-operated game machines for amusement arcades. The manufacture, sale and distribution of gaming devices, equipment and related software is subject to federal, state, tribal and local regulations in the United States and foreign jurisdictions.
